At Stellenbosch Brewing Company we pride ourselves in brewing inspired beers for inspired moments. Every beer we create has a story behind it and is brewed with creativity and a passion for quality and character. Our story began in 2010 with a handmade garagista brewery built in the quest to make the perfect Pale Ale. After many hours spent perfecting our brews we took a leap of faith and upgraded to a 1,000L commercial system. With much excitement we watched our Nerez Cidlina Czech brewhouse steam into the Cape Town harbour in January 2015 after her first lifetime in a Seoul, South Korean brew pub. We've since added a third brewhouse vessel and upped our fermentation capacity to 26,000L to crank out our Stellies core range while allowing us to experiment with some interesting ingredients and quirky recipes.
Brewery tours and tastings with our brewer are available on request. Please email email@example.com for more information.
The Stellies Taproom is located at our brewery on Klein Joostenberg Farm and has expansive gardens and a relaxed, open-air vibe that is great for kicking back with a pint or tasting flight while enjoying a bite from our farm-to-table menu. Order a platter or a few plates to share from our taproom counter and enjoy our handcrafted goodness served in trays to take onto the stoep or into the gardens. Bring a picnic blanket and stay for the afternoon while your kids run free in the gardens, ride the horse cart (Sat, Sun & Public Holidays) or chase the geese and chicken. In winter our fireplace, drop-blinds and award-winning Eike Stout keep our taproom nice and cozy and it is a great spot to catch live sport or watch the brewer at work through the huge observation window. Bookings are recommended on weekends however we always keep some tables free for walk-ins.
The Taproom is also available for private events and parties; please get in touch with us for more details.
